(Rock Island, IL) -- The Rock Island County Courthouse will be torn down with demolition expected to start next week.
Demolition will cost about $100,000 due to prolonging the decision.
Rock Island County plans to consolidate county offices into a new building on the property eventually.
The Rock Island County Courthouse is 125 years old.
Crews say the demolition will take weeks depending on the weather.
