(Johnston, IA) -- Yard waste collection season begins today for Johnston residents east of NW 86th Street.
The city says residents should have items on the curb by 6am. The city's Compost It! program will dispose of leaves, lawn clippings, small branches, and garden vegetation, but dirt, mulch, and rocks will not be accepted.
