(Ankeny, IA) -- The city of Ankeny will host its 2023 Earth Day Stream & Watershed Cleanup event this weekend.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 2nd from 8am-11am at the Ankeny Market Pavilion located at 715 W 1st Street. The city says the cleanup area will be along the High Trestle Trail from the Ankeny Market Pavilion to SE Magazine road. Trash bags and vinyl gloves will be provided.
Residents who want to organize their own Earth Day events can receive cleanup kits, including gloves and trash bags from the city by contacting Stormwater & Environmental Manager Becky Ford at bford@ankenyiowa.gov.
