(Omaha, NE) -- An Omaha bike share nonprofit is upgrading. Heartland Bike Share is announcing it's converting their entire fleet to e-bikes due to overwhelming popularity. 95% of rides last year were on the electronic assist peddle bikes, though only about half of the bikes available were electric models. The nonprofit has grown since the bike share concept first started in 2011 in Omaha, now expanding to outlets in Council Bluffs, Papillion, and Bellevue. Passes are available at the BCycle App, on their website, or at a station kiosk. A credit card is required.
