(Grimes, IA) -- Spring cleanup for Grimes residents south of Highway 44 will be held Tuesday, May 9th. During the spring cleanup event, Metro Waste Authority will pick up items that are too large for the regular cart, but not all items will be accepted.
Items that will be accepted include:
- Furniture
- Mattresses
- Lamps
- Chairs
- Books
- Clothes
- Lawn Mowers (no gas)
Items that will not be accepted include:
- Appliances
- Construction Items
- Hazardous Waste
- Tires
- Televisions
- Paint
- Lawn Chemicals
