(Davenport, IA) -- The plan is to open Davenport's Amazon distribution center this year. Amazon says it plans to open in August, bringing in 1,000 new jobs. Amazon originally planned to open the distribution center last September but then said the opening would be delayed until 2024. The 640,000 square foot facility is located just north of Interstate-80 along North Division Street.
