(Johnston, IA) -- Police in Johnston have launched an investigation following a reported double shooting at a home off Northwest Beaver Drive and 62nd Avenue.
According to Polk County Fire & EMS communications, paramedics arrived at the scene around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday and located two victims.
In an overnight release, Police in Johnston said a suspect was in custody a little before 1 a.m. today.
Victim I.D. and updated status remain unknown at this time.
The department called the case an "active investigation".
