(Blair, NE) -- The search is on for a man accused of killing one person and wounding another in Blair.
Blair Police says around 6:30 Friday morning, officers were called to a home in the 1000 Block of Park Street for a report of a Shooting with Injuries. BPD say once on the scene officers located two victims, a man and a woman. Investigators say the female victim had gunshot wounds to her legs. Police say the male victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
BPD says an arrest warrant has been issued for 22 year old Elijah Logan, of Council Bluffs, IA. Logan is described as being 5 foot 9 inches and 175 pounds. Police say Logan was seen leaving the area in a 1988 Green Jeep Cherokee IA plate NAM 032. Metro Law Enforcement agencies along with US Marshalls are currently assisting in the location of Logan.
The shooting caused Blair schools to put their “secure protocol” into place, meaning exterior and interior doors were locked but students and staff could get into the buildings.
Douglas County Crime Lab and Blair Police officers continue to investigate the scene for witnesses and video footage. Any resident in the nearby area with exterior surveillance camera systems is encouraged to notify the police department.
