(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Living Lands and Waters is handing out oak trees in Cedar Rapids for their fifth community tree handout this Friday.
The organization will be giving away 200 three-gallon potted oak trees from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Noelridge Park.
Living Lands and Waters has worked with Cedar Rapids' ReLeaf Initiative since 2020 after the Derecho caused significant damage to the city's trees.
Trees can be reserved for pickup with leftover trees available on a first come first serve basis starting at noon.
