(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The Cedar Rapids Fire Department is identifying the woman who died in a garage fire Thursday morning.
The department says 57-year-old Mia Schmidt was trapped in the building where crews pulled her out and attempted life-saving measures.
She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
No other injuries were reported.
