(Muscatine, IA) -- Construction is beginning on Iowa's first 3D-printed home in Muscatine.
The project is a collaboration with the construction company Alquist 3D, the city and state, and training for students at Muscatine Community College.
Jeremy Pickard Dean of Ag, Education, and Human Services at EICC tells WQAD News 8 that the community college wants to have a part in providing training needs for the workforce to help solve the housing crisis in the community.
He says students at Muscatine Community College will start the 3D construction training program this fall.
