(Ottumwa, IA) -- Police say an Ottumwa man was killed while trying to evade law enforcement over the weekend.
Iowa State Patrol says 19-year-old Reece Jones was on a motorcycle Saturday night, evading police on Highway 63 near Bloomfield.
As he crossed over the Highway 2 intersection, his motorcycle slammed into a pickup truck. The driver of the truck was not hurt, but Jones was killed.
ISP did not immediately share any more information about what led to the initial chase.
