(Omaha, NE) -- One person is killed and another is injured in a Tuesday afternoon motorcycle crash.
Omaha Police say just after 2:00 Tuesday afternoon, officers were called to a crash on Regency Parkway. Police say their investigation showed that a Yamaha motorcycle, carrying two people, left the roadway and hit a tree. The motorcyclist, 33 year old Hilario Chavez, was declared dead at the scene. The motorcycle passenger, 40 year old Jennifer Contreras, was taken to Bergan Mercy for a fractured arm.
Speed is considered a factor in this crash.
