(Ankeny, IA) -- No one is hurt after a fire Wednesday evening in Ankeny.
The city of Ankeny says firefighters received reports of the fire at a home on the city's northeast side around 6:45pm. Fire crews found heavy fire coming from the garage and lots of smoke spreading throughout the house. The residents were home at the time of the fire but were able to get out safely. Fire crews were able to contain the fire quickly.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and remains under investigation.
