(Davenport, IA) -- The city of Davenport says while the playground at Whalen Park is currently closed, it will re-open next month.
The city says funds made available through the American Rescue Plan Act are being used to upgrade the playground. The previous playground has been removed and will be replaced by all new playground equipment.
The new playground is expected to open in the middle of June.
