(Waukee, IA) -- Waukee is adding to the boom of new sports facilities in the Des Moines area. This week the Waukee City Council approved plans for a 12-court sports complex to the east of Grand Prairie Parkway between University and Ashworth. It will house basketball courts, volleyball courts, pickleball courts, wrestling matches, and gymnastics. The price tag is $40-million and the complex is expected to open June 1st, 2025. It's part of the larger Kettlestone Central development that will take up 153 acres of land in the same area.
