(Waukee, IA) -- The Waukee Police and Fire Departments are collecting backpacks and lunch boxes for next school year.
The city says new or gently used backpacks can be donated at the Waukee Public Safety Building located at 1300 SE LA Grant Parkway. All donations will be distributed to students at the Waukee Community School District's Back-to-School Family Resource Fair, which will take place in August.
Donations will be accepted through the end of July.
