(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Cedar Rapids Police say a man is dead after a shooting Sunday morning.
Police say they received reports of the shooting shortly after midnight Sunday morning in the 1300 block of 1st Avenue SE. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 23 year-old man seriously injured with a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital but later died of his injuries. Police say they believe it was a targeted shooting.
No suspects have been identified so far, and anyone with information on the deadly shooting is asked to contact Cedar Rapids Police at (319)286-5491.
