(Council Bluffs, IA) -- A long-term Interstate improvement project in Council Bluffs reaches a milestone:
The final bridge demolition on Interstate 29 on the west side of Council Bluffs has been carried out.
The work is part of a massive rebuilding of the I-29/ I-480 interchange in the Bluffs west end, along the Missouri River opposite Omaha. The project is scheduled for completion in June of 2024. It started in 2017.
