Seventh Omaha June Dogpile For LSU Baseball

LSU's College World Series championship is the seventh in the history of the dynastic baseball program from Baton Rouge.

The Bayou Bengals cruised by Southeastern Conference rival Florida 18 to 4 Monday night at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in the third and deciding game of the CWS championship round.

LSU had to battle through the loser's bracket to get to the championship series, and came back from a 20 run loss in game two of the championship series Sunday night.

They had 24 total hits, while Florida managed just five.

The Tigers take home the championship for the first time since 2009, when their celebration was on the diamond at Omaha's Rosenblatt Stadium.
