(Moravia, IA) -- Five people are recovering after being hurt when a boat motor exploded Sunday, July 2nd. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says it happened during start-up at the Buck Creek Arm of Lake Rathbun in southern Iowa Sunday afternoon.
The DNR says one woman received moderate to severe burns and was flown to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The DNR says a man and three juveniles were taken to Mercy One in Centerville with minor burns.
