(Des Moines, IA) -- A cyclist has died in Des Moines after failing to yield to oncoming traffic. Police say a collision with a pickup happened just after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Southeast 6th Street and Pioneer Road. 40-year-old De'Wayne Lee Cole was rushed from the scene to a local hospital for treatment, but died the next day (Thursday). Investigators determined Cole was at fault for the crash. It is the first traffic-related death of a cyclist this year in Des Moines.
