(Iowa City, IA) -- An Iowa City man is in custody following a shooting in April.
26-year-old Eldra Jennings shot a victim over a property damage dispute on April 12 in the 1900 block of Broadway Street.
Police say Jennings and another individual forced their way into the victims home and physically confronted the victim before Jennings fired a shot.
The victim was able to drive themselves to the hospital for treatment.
During the investigation, the victim told police that the casing they found belonged to Jennings.
He is charged on five different counts from the shooting including First Degree Burglary, Control of a firearm by a felon, Going Armed with Intent, Willful Injury, and Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon.
