(Bettendorf, IA) -- A makeover begins on a Bettendorf park today.
Parks and Maintenance crews are replacing the existing playground system in Meier Park on 6th Street north of Grant Street.
A new $260,000 play system will be installed.
The new playground will include handicap-accessible swings and a new synthetic turf.
Bettendorf Parks and Recreation hopes to have the project finished by Labor Day.
