After a double fatal construction zone crash on I-29 in Harrison County, Iowa this week, State Troopers remind motorists to eliminate as many distractions as possible.
"And in a construction zone, that could be a life or death situation because we've got so many people who are out there working to make our roads better," the Nebraska State Patrol's Cody Thomas tells KFAB Radio News. "Performing their jobs on the side of the road, so we need to make sure we are keeping an eye out for them in those zones;"
Thomas says it's especially important because it's the busy Summer travel season eventually leading up to the start of school and the Labor Day weekend.
