The Omaha Office of the National Weather Service, whch is located in Valley, reminds us one week ago the high temperature was 78 degrees.
The forecasters say it's pretty late in the Summer to see temps that high, let alone for three days in a row.
The Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for the Omaha/Council Bluffs region through 10 p.m. Wednesday.
It's for portions of east central and southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa.
Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working outside, or taking part in outdoor activities.
