(West Des Moines, IA) -- Two teen males are facing arson charges after a West Des Moines fire. Crews were called to the Kohl's store on Mills Civic Parkway after 2 p.m. Saturday, August 26th. Firefighters arrived and found merchandise had caught fire, but the fire had been extinguished by the store's fire sprinkler system. There's smoke and water damage, but no dollar estimate on damages.
The cause of the fire was determined to be suspicious, and a joint investigation was conducted between the West Des Moines Fire and West Des Moines Police Departments. Two 15 year old male juveniles have been charged with first degree arson in connection with the fire.
