(Ames, IA) -- Ames Police say a man was shot last (Thursday) night in the 3800 block of Tripp Street in West Ames. Police say the shooting happened just before 10 o'clock. No word on the man's condition, or what led to the shooting. Police say they do not believe there's any ongoing threat to the public.
