(Palo, IA) -- A man accused of shoving a child into a fire pit has turned himself in to police. Forty-two-year-old Christopher Maas from Palo, Iowa, went to the Cedar Rapids Police Station, where he was arrested and taken to jail for the incident over the weekend. The child is receiving treatment at St. Luke's Hospital. Maas is charged with Child Endangerment and interference with Official Acts.
