Memorials and remembrances, especially from the Omaha area medical community, pour in for an Omaha heart doctor, who was fatally hit by a vehicle north of Valley as he rode his bicycle Sunday morning.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says Dr. Matthew Latacha was biking near 252nd Street and Rainwood Road when a vehicle hit him from behind.
Dr.Latacha died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was not hurt.
The Doctor was a cardiologist and electrophysiologist with Methodist Health Systems, joining the medical staff there in 2009.
