(East Moline, IL) -- Random lane closures are expected on Avenues of the Cities this week in East Moline and Silvis.
Illinois DOT is re-striping the road on Avenue of the Cities from Archer Drive to Hospital Road and on 19th Street from 17th Avenue Drive to Avenue of the Cities.
New striping will be done on the westbound lanes along with a lane reduction.
Other striping and signing changes will also be done in the area.
Crews will work from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will alternate between the eastbound and westbound lanes.
Work started Monday and is expected to be completed on Friday.
