(Iowa City, IA) -- University of Iowa is planning a new 20-million dollar women's gymnastics training center. The facility would include 21-thousand square feet of competition-level practice space, as well as meeting and training rooms. It would be built next to the women's soccer and field hockey facilities. The plan is part of a 180-million dollar construction boom at U-of-I which would include a new football locker room. The university still needs funding approval from the Board of Regents to proceed with construction.
