(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The Aviation Maintenance Technology program at Kirkwood is finally flying at the Eastern Iowa Airport.
There are currently 22 students who are inspired to become mechanics in the aviation field who will soon head to a CID hanger for a class.
In a partnership with SkyWest, the largest regional airline in the world, the opportunities are endless.
That's according to SkyWest spokesperson, Douglas McCartney
According to Kirkwood Vice President Colette Atkins, the program will open up many doors for the students.
There are two spots still open, but Kirkwood staff says it is expected to fill up quickly.
