(Iowa) -- The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says most of the state of Iowa will enter peak fall color season soon.
The time window for fall color viewing varies by region, including:
- Northeast Iowa: October 5th-15th
- North Central and Northwest Iowa: October 14th
- Central Iowa: October 8th-October 14th
- Southeast Iowa: October 20th
- South Central Iowa: October 16th-October 20th
- West Central Iowa: October 8th-October 14th
- Southwest Iowa: 2nd and 3rd week of October
