CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- A Cedar Falls Democrat is throwing her hat in the ring for the US House of Representatives in Iowa's Second District.
Sarah Corkery says she wants the seat currently held by Republican Representative Ashley Hinson.
The Second District includes Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, Waterloo and Grinnell.
Hinson's in her second House term, winning re-election in 2020 over former T-V news anchor Liz Mathis.
Corkery says she's a two-time breast cancer survivor who's spent more than 25 years as a marketing professional, and now operates a small creative branding firm with her husband, Chris.
