(Davenport, IA) -- A Scott County judge has given 20-year-old Madison Russo of Bettendorf a suspended sentence of 10-years in prison in a cancer fraud case. Russo had claimed she had pancreatic cancer, and was accused of raising more than 37-thousand dollars thru GoFundMe. Eldridge Police arrested Russo in January after a subpoena for her medical records came back with no indication of cancer. She initially pleaded not guilty to theft, but then agreed to a plea deal. Russo will have to repay $39,000 in restitution, and perform 100 hours of community service.
