(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A Cedar Rapids man will spend ten years in prison for sexually abusing two minors.
According to police, 29-year-old Markus Clyde Ruiz was sentenced on Tuesday by Sixth Judicial District Chief Judge Lars Anderson.
The criminal complaint says Ruiz sexually abused a 13-year-old girl over the course of a month in March of 2021 as well as another minor younger than 12-years-old in March and April of 2022.
Markus' brother, 28-year-old Bryan Ruiz, recently pleaded guilty to sexually abusing the same child under the age of 12.
His sentencing date will be in December.
