Nebraska Republican U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts puts together his plan to secure the border.
His proposal is called the "Ensure Uniform Border Inspection Practices Act," which he says aims to improve enforcement practices along the southern border.
Ricketts also repeated his support for ten pieces of Republican-backed legislation addressing the immigration issues, such as Ted Cruz's "Secure the Border Act."
Ricketts will be visiting the southern border later this week with Senators Cruz and John Cornyn of Texas.
