(Ottumwa, IA) -- An Ottumwa man's been arrested in connection with a homicide on October 16th. Police say 60-year-old Gary Lewis Scott is charged with First Degree Murder, Willful Injury, Assault while Participating in a Felony and Going Armed With Intent.
He's accused of stabbing 34-year-old Samuel Gallegos-Ramirez. Police were called to 301 S. Ward Street before 11 p.m. on October 16th because of a reported stabbing. Gallegos-Ramirez died at Ottumwa Regional Medical Center.
Investigators say the stabbing happened during an altercation between Scott and Gallegos-Ramirez.
