(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Linn County Officials are commemorating a new solar panel and battery-powered system installed at the Wellington Heights Community Church in Cedar Rapids.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Sunday, October 29th at the church.
The project includes a new solar panel and battery powered system.
The installation is part of Linn County's latest resiliency hub project that was created over the summer to help give resources to people suffering from the 2020 Derecho.
The project will give residents an area to charge their phones and to get food, water, and shelter.
