Nebraska's Jim Pillen and Iowa's Kim Reynolds are among 15 Republican Governors calling on the Biden administration to stop a federal nursing home staffing proposal.
The U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services says a registered nurse would be required to be on-site at nursing homes 24/7, with the goal of ensuring residents can get quality care at all times.
The Governors' letter says that would stress a healthcare workforce already understaffed.
