(Kewanee, IL) -- Two teenagers are facing charges for a fire that destroyed the Kewanee Boiler Co. building.
The Kewanee Police Department says they responded to reports of a fire Saturday, November 4th at the vacant building at 101 Franklin Street.
Witnesses reported that they saw a group of teens leaving the scene just before the fire erupted.
After several hours, officers were able to locate and arrest the two teens.
A 15-year-old is facing charges of Criminal Trespass to Property, and a 16-year-old is facing charges of Criminal Trespass to Property and Criminal Damage to Property by Means of Fire.
The investigation is ongoing.
