Officers were called to the area of 18th and Spencer Streets around seven Wednesday evening for a "ShotSpotter" technology activation.
Investigators say 17 - year - old Messiah Holley was found suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers immediately started lifesaving measures, and the victim was taken to a hospital where he later died.
