(Des Moines, IA) -- A suspect is in custody in connection to a fatal stabbing in Des Moines early Tuesday morning.
Des Moines Police say 24 year-old Brantlee Rainey is facing multiple charges, including first degree murder. Investigators say officers found him with a bloody knife at the scene of the stabbing, a hotel room on Des Moines' east side. Police say Rainey also matched the description of the suspect provided by a witness.
This is the 13th murder in Des Moines this year.
