The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office is out with a scam warning.
Investigators say scammers are using Sarpy County Sheriff's Deputies' names and false badge numbers to solicit the public for fines and court costs.
The Sheriff's department says they do not operate in that way and do not contact the public demanding payment for court costs, fines, or for the office itself.
