(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The Alliant Energy LightLine Bridge will link the New Bohemia area to Mt. Trashmore, near Czech Village.
Crews are already removing the CRANDIC Bridge, also known as the Rock Island Railroad Bridge, which is over 150 years old and damaged from the 2008 floods.
The bridge will have split lanes for bicyclists and pedestrians to use.
Construction is scheduled to begin late next year.
