(Davenport, IA) -- The Scott County Board of Supervisors is rejecting a recount in the Pleasant Valley School Board District 6 race. Write-in candidate Tracey Rivera lost to Jameson Smith by six votes in the November 7th election.
A three-person panel appointed to do a recount asked for by Rivera reported a tie. The Scott County Board voted 3-2 to reject the result over accusations of inclusion of ballots that were incorrectly filled out.
Jameson Smith was sworn in last week.
