Omaha Police investigate a shooting that began with a report of a sexual assault.
Officers went to 131st Street and Grand Avenue Tuesday night for the assault when they learned a shooting had also happened.
Police found a man with a gunshot wound to his leg, who also said he had been hit in the head with a metal pipe.
Omaha Fire paramedics took him to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say a woman at the scene told officers she was involved in a fight with the man, and he attempted to strangle her, before she shot him.
