(Omaha, NE) -- Omaha Public Power customers will pay more for electricity in 2024. The District board is approving a rate increase of 2.5-percent.
Residential customers will average a 1.6-precent hike depending on usage. Industrial customers will see a 1.8-percent increase, while commercial customers will see a 5-percent bump.
In a press release, the utility's CFO says inflation and supply-chain pressures drove the rate increase.
The new rates take effect January 1st.
