(Iowa) -- Gas prices in Iowa are down slightly following Christmas Day.
Triple A reports the average price for regular unleaded statewide is $2.80 a gallon, a drop of two cents from this time last week. Prices vary regionally across the state, including:
- Des Moines: $2.81
- Ames: $2.88
- Iowa City: $2.87
- Cedar Rapids: $2.81
- Quad Cities (Iowa side): $2.75
- Quad Cities (Illinois side): $3.29
- Dubuque: $2.91
- Waterloo/Cedar Falls: $2.82
- Council Bluffs: $2.72
- Sioux City: $2.72
The average price for regular unleaded nationally is $3.12 a gallon.
